Our first group of catechists gathered together in October 2021 and after a fruitful journey of preparation, Faith on Fire is about to begin work in parishes around Ireland, partnering with parish teams to help support an adult faith formation that fosters a real friendship with Christ. We have reached this important stage thanks to the grace of God, the enthusiasm of our catechists, the support of our formation and leadership teams - and the generosity of people like you, who saw our passion, shared our vision for what Faith on Fire can contribute - and were willing to take a chance on a very new organisation.

In the medium term, we aim to be financially self sufficient, from the fees paid to us by parishes we work with, but it will take time to get to that point, and it will only be possible with the support of people who see the great need for the wide availability of authentic parish-based adult faith formation, and want to help.
This need was one of the strongest themes to emerge from the Synthesis Report of the Irish Synodal Consultations (2022):
"As adult members of the Church, we are not sufficiently grounded in our faith, and do not have the confidence in speaking about our love of God.” - Synthesis of the Irish Consultation in Ireland for Universal Synod, 2022
